Kyle Katarn is a decorated graduate from the Imperial Military Academy who would forfeit his life for the Empire. But when he learns of his father's untimely death--and the devastating way in which he was killed--Kyle swears revenge against the very Imperial forces he was about to join. His opportunity comes when the Rebel Alliance offers him a special mission: break into the Imperial Research Facility on Danuta, find the Death Star plans, and bring them out.

Any sensible person would call it suicide. Kyle calls it vengeance.

Great book, actually, a great trilogy, if you get the hardcover editions they also make a great display for any respectable collection. The writing is down to earth, yet descriptive and complete, leaves you wanting to know more, especially great is the step by step narration Dietz makes of the first Dark Forces level. The illustrations are great, but i found a couple of errors in this book: Acording to JK game, Kyle doesn't get his lightsaber until level three of the game, this book refers to Dark Forces, so why is he painted with a saber in the cover and other 2 illustrations? Also, when he meets Jan, the description tells us he's wearing a Stortrooper armor, yet in the drawing he's not...great book, nevertheless...

I've always liked Kyle Katarn, ever since playing the games this book series expands upon. What I liked most about this book was the combination of artwork with what I felt was a more contemplative portrayal of this Imperial-turned-Jedi. The fleshing out of supporting characters from the Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight game was also fun to see.

Little on the pricier side for what I usually spend on books, but the uniqueness of this piece left me with no regrets.

The Sinners from Mitar
If you've never read this novella trilogy or played the original game, I highly recommend it. I believe that this is what Star Wars should have been instead of what the prequels and sundry materials turned it into. Jedi Knight is about a man who discovers that he is an heir to the long legacy of heroes known as the Jedi and he is tasked with protecting the secrets of the long-lost Valley of the Jedi from seven dastardly villains who seek its power.
It's the story of one man against an army, his only ally being the Force (and Jan Ors on occasion). I would love to see it on the big screen and I don't think I'll ever give up hope.
This particular copy was in fine condition and arrived in good time. The artwork is just as vibrant and inspiring as I remember.

I have loved Kyle Katarn ever since I first played the dark forces games. This short book gives a great backstory to this great character.

Really softened every Jedi battle. Great fan of the game but was left wanting more from this.

For a graphic novel you'll enjoy it. You'll enjoy it ten times more if you manage to play the Dark Forces games before jumping into this.

Great for Star Wars fans. Especially if you played the old Dark Forces games back in the day.

Very good
