This book is organized as a series of letters to a friend about 'healing the wounds of the heart' through prayer. This often means praying through past hurts from childhood and inviting the presence of Christ to heal memories. There is much here which accords with the 'inner healing' type literature but Bondi isn't interacting with that literature. Out of her own rich experience and struggle and scholarship Roberta Bondi speaks about prayer as one who knows. Those who have a lot of questions about experience of God in everyday life will not want to miss reading In Ordinary Time. -E. This book gave me permission to be really present with God in the most mundane of times. I like her writing style a lot and expect to recommend this to others.

Bondi writes as if she were writing a letter to a good friend, you, the reader. Her information on re-visiting past hurts and bringing healing to them was invaluable. I would recommend this to anyone who finds themself strangely sensitive to certain issues and wants to explore the possibility that internal workings need to be thought about and healed.

Anazan
Bondi shares how God heals her in somewhat a "living" basis that every day we can experience God's healing. In this letter-form book, reader can have a whole picture of how healing comes so creative and powerfully in God's spirit. Practical, enjoyable and you will pray to God for your own healing after reading it.
