This "book" is virtually worthless. Its marketing hype says it will teach you the basics of reading, writing and pronouncing the Russian (Cyrillic) alphabet. It gives absolutely no instruction on writing the letters and if you want to learn to pronounce them you have to pay another ridiculously high price for separate audio files and video files -- but you only learn this when you open the book itself!! This book is a complete fraud and the "author" -- who is identified as an official at a college -- should be ashamed of himself. But I guess it's not really so surprising. After all, the American academic industry has long been about minimal content for maximum dollars. But even by that standard, this book is a complete waste of money.
