I was required to get this book as a part of my college songwriting class. It is an easy read and is well-written. It is pretty straightforward and specific to the music business industry. I think it is a great beginner's guide, as well as intermediate. I used this on my Kindle phone version because it was more cost-effective and the paperback is fairly large and I hate lugging around books all day! I wouldn't have bought it unless it were required.

Brilliant teacher. Straight to the point. Easy to understand. Mr. Weissman is an experienced man in the music world. He has met just about everyone in the folk world and beyond. He has lived the life, and has walked the walk. He knows what he writes about.

Husband - musician/song-writer Mike Herman So-Lo - LOVES this!!!
