Although I found this book informative, it really presented with a negative prognosis.
This really did not suit me well.
I don't like that there is no mention that this syndrome can consist of a spectrum of intensity and that there can be positive outcomes.
I really found some of the recommendations difficult to implement outside of a family's control (like school).
I will continue my search for a more positive book.

A very easy and short book that is packed with tons of information on nonverbal learning disorders. If you have a child with this disability, you will know that not much information is known about this in the educational setting. I highly recommend this book to parents whose children have been recently diagnosed with this disorder. It's very frustrating when the people that can help your child most don't have a clue how to. It's a great book to give to educators in your school. I thank the author one hundred times over. This book was a lifesaver.

not as helpful for 15 year old with NLD, but very good to pass around to teachers and college counselor at school. would recommend this book as well as "helping a child with nonverbal learning disorder or aspergers disorder" by kathryn stewart. second book was very good to go thru with 15 year old. very helpful. hard to find books for kids diagnosed at older ages.
