The book was in good condition, it just took an extremely long time for delivery. The book was ordered for my son who is incarserated in Texas. I have always ordered his books from Amazon, but this time there was a glich. The seller of the used book did not put educational material or the Amazon company name, only is personal name on the outside of the package. Anytime a hardback book goes into a prison, it MUST have the company name on the outside. The book was rejected and returned to the buyer. After waiting a week after delivery date...giving extra time because of the situation...I called Amazon and the lady was very nice. She assured me the seller would contact me immediately...He did the very same day. He appoligized and I told him how it much arrive. Again he sent the book, with the same personal name on the outside. Now he did in his behalf put the sales slip inside the book...prison employees do not look inside a book. They just called my son down and wanted to know why they had received the same book twice, the same way and he had to pay to send it to me because there was no return address on it. When I received to book (it's now over a month later) I cut the backing off and sent it back to him as a paperback book. He should have received it today. He'll call tonight so I can check with him to make sure of delivery. I did not know there were certain stipulations as to to different sellers through Amazon. I guess I just assumed it was all just Amazon. The rep told me what to look for next time.
Other than this one time, I have never had a problem with Amazon books. And like I said, the book itself was in good condition...until I got hold of it with a knife! Sincerely, Linda

It's really helpful for the class being taken and it was a good price.

I'm a former biology teacher who with my husband sponsor a 9th grade girl in Haitai who wants to be a nurse as well as a 10th grade boy enrolled in the same school. We support them as best we can. They both asked for biology books, so I searched Amazon and found Biology Concepts and Connections in paperback because the had to be good affordable biology books that would fit into medium backpacks to be shipped in September, but processed in May! We did it. Even thought the books are in English, the young people are learning English in school so there may be incentive there along with good graphics. I hope both young people enjoy the 2 books.

Excellent intro bio book. I used it for AP Biology in high school. I would even recommend you read it for fun for knowledge and out of interest. Pictures and diagrams are informative and interesting.

I got this used book for a very great price!!the condition of the book itself is EXCELLENT!! As to the contents, not many changes but still very useful for my daily needs. The CD is pretty much the same as the older edition too.

It's not the best biology book out there, but it was required, so I bought it. It's not a book I'd keep for reference, so it'll be resold, but it's what I expected.

Hey! Campbell, Reece and company did good with this publication and Yes, it holds well in the older 5th edition to the newer and Lot More Money 7th Edition! A good and well written text like this one will last through several newer versions and this one is no exception! Good material coverage and easy to read. Works for the money! This is a good book for reference material and the Price is Right!

Fast shipping. Informative book
