Ships from and sold by slickrockmedia. There are many reasons why I really love this Yoga Deck. It has information both beginners and experts can immediately refer to in this large card deck.

As this is the Yoga Deck II, I'd expect more complicated poses, which there are. There are also some very easy, very beginner poses but no real intermediate poses.

The Stretch Deck: 50 Stretches. The Chakra Deck: 50 Cards for Promoting Spiritual and Physical Health (Relax and Rejuvenate). As this is the Yoga Deck II, I'd expect more complicated poses, which there are. I'm not saying that you shouldn't combine the complexity in your routines, just that as a set the easy poses seem out of place.

Each easy-to-use card gives detailed instructions, benefits, and an affirmation

Each easy-to-use card gives detailed instructions, benefits, and an affirmation. If you're short on time, you can pick just a single card, or for a more guided experience, follow one of the sequences provided. Create an exercise routine that focuses on your specific needs. These cards are specifically made for choosing at random certain yoga positions, explaining what they do for your body and soul. I did 5 today and am quite content. This I would recommend for people who, like me, don't have time to attend Yoga classes but remain interested in it. The Yoga Deck is 50 cards designed to promote health and well-being using each of these practices. No content in feature. Clearly illustrated, The Yoga Deck contains: Six Breath Cards - Offering simple yet powerful ways to use your breath to decrease tension, increase energy, and promote physical and mental health. The Alternative Nostril Breath and Sufi Mother's Breath are two such breathing exercises.

Featuring not only posture cards, The Yoga Deck also has several cards devoted to breathing exercises, sequencing . Olivia H. Many years ago I studied Yoga and I decided to again start doing some of the Yoga poses and ordered this fantastic (The Yoga Deck: 50 Poses & meditations for body, mind and spirit) deck of instructions. There are many reasons why I really love this Yoga Deck. It has information both beginners and experts can immediately refer to in this large card deck. Some of the other material I read on Yoga recently was aimed at experienced and advanced yoga students.

I found the cards easy to follow and they contain an enormous about of practical advice on various aspects of Yoga such as how to meditate, several different breathing exercises and of course how to do the many postures of Yoga. I was surprised that even at my advanced age with several medical issues, including arthritis; I was able to do many of the Yoga postures from viewing the cards and reading the clear and concise directions as to how to do them.

I am happy I have this deck of Yoga to follow and use in my own exercise routine. If you are into yoga or desire to learn the different aspects of this form of exercise and meditation, you should check out this product. I personally am glad I ordered this Yoga Deck.

I'm only 6 months into yoga and found this deck to be so helpful to use at home. I am reordering it for 2 other people
The more negative reviews said there were 2 poses to a card. It shows the actual pose on one side and then shows you positioning into each pose as to your comfort level on the other side.
If you are into meditation before the poses, there are a few cards for that, you can use them or not.
There are recommended pose sequences that will "focus on specific benefits": stretch, energy, strength, stress relief and back pain relief.
I would probably not recommend this to more advanced students or teachers as it is so straightforward with easy poses and directions.
This is a simple helpful additional tool to use at home.

I got these for my wife while she was in her yoga instructor training program (for RYT-200). She loves them and found them very useful.

Her comments: the cards are very simple and easy and to understand, and are great for beginning instructors and students as a supplement to classwork. Some names may vary (among yoga traditions), for example: the card for Heroes pose she knew previously as Cow Faced pose. Not a big deal, but good to know.

BLUF: Recommend with gusto!

I have been to a few yoga classes and that is as much as I knew about yoga. I injured my knee and that put me out of any exercising. I love Jazzercise and it was over for me. I had been to see a therapist and could not walk without limping. Very unhappy. I got the idea that I needed to stretch and found these cards via Amazon. After the first session the next day I was able to walk without a limp. It had been more then two weeks of painful walking. Now I’m hooked. My knee is so much better. It is still sore but healing. I could not have done it without the cards. I can’t do anything where my knee is on the floor nor can I bend my knee all the way like the pose may show, but the improvement is daily. I have real hope that I will get full movement back. Thank you yoga cards.

So simple to use. It reminds me of tarot cards in the sense that you can "randomly" pull the sequence/meditation/breathing exercise that is perfect for you that day. I love that each pose comes with a mantra and the benefits of the pose. I am also new to teaching and the fact that they are ordered in a way that sets up counter pose pairs is exactly what I was seeking when I bought these! So simple and so much cheaper than alternatives I found. They are beautiful too btw!

I ordered these to use with my 8th grade students during an Advisory period, along with a "Managing Stress and Anxiety" workbook. I use them on Mondays and Wednesdays, and a different student each time draws a card and then teaches the rest of the group the pose/meditation/stretch. They were very resistant at first, and occasionally try to play like they are "too cool" for yoga. However, I hear them in the hall saying things to one another like: "Hurry, it's Monday/Wednesday, it's Yoga day!" and "Who gets to teach the yoga card today?" and everyone always participates (I tell them if their pregnant teacher is willing to do these moves, their young bodies can too.) That being said, I did go through the deck and remove a handful of cards that I just didn't see working well for the environment. There were a few that just required a little too much ground work or space I didn't have in a confined classroom full of desks and chairs, and there were a few that, sadly, the students just aren't mature enough for (for example, the boys often snigger and make comments about hoping they get the downward-dog card - which I had pulled from the deck, but didn't tell them yet.) I am still left with at least 40+ cards that we can use. We discuss when each would be appropriate to use in life (ie: the neck rolling card would be great during a test, the cobra card would not- but might be excellent at home after a long stressful day.) Overall the deck is simple to understand with great directions AND an explanation of what the pose, meditation or stretch is good for, and the cards are very classy looking, in my opinion.

I am not exactly sure how to use these cards yet. I made up a Sequence with them and I read all the Yoga Yoda-like wisdom on the cards and the illuminations, very nice. I think most books for beginners have these poses. You could sort of play Russian roulette with the cards and randomly pick some poses for a sequence or select something that suits your need or mood. I like a longer sequence so I use up half the deck or so with one shot. It would be good for shorter sequences. Most of the poses are basic but a few are advanced. Take your pick. I'm going to keep at it.

I bought these cards when I was starting my yoga practice 18 years ago and used them many times. Gave them away when we downsized. Now that I am a senior and practice more gently and at home, I bought it again. Wish I had never given them away! Oh well.
