The Christmas Story: As Told by Edgar Cayce. 0876043562 (ISBN13: 9780876043561). According to Edgar Cayce’s readings of the Akashic Record, first came the Son, the Logos, or the Word - as indicated in John’s Gospel: In the beginning was the Word; and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Out of the Word or this central primordial expression of life, all else was created. Again in John’s Gospel: All things were made through this One. In Cayce’s readings: We have first the Son, then the other sons or celestial beings that are given their force and power.

As many know, the Edgar Cayce library in Virginia is home to thousands of his readings - much of it has never been printed officially. They themselves had no idea who they were until Cayce told them. This book offers 90% readings concerning the sojourns of various clients, and their tie ups with Jesus. Many of these random people were just "exposed" to him at one point or another, and hold no particular important role from those times.

A Ghost Story for Christmas is a strand of annual British short television films originally broadcast on BBC One between 1971 and 1978, and revived in 2005 on BBC Four. With one exception, the original instalments were directed by Lawrence Gordon Clark and the films were all shot on 16 mm colour film. The remit behind the series was to provide a television adaptation of a classic ghost story, in line with the oral tradition of telling supernatural tales at Christmas.

I love that Edgar Cayce can share insight into a blessed event that is reflected in many ancient cultures but not shared within modern day Christianity. Not really a child's story, more for adult contemplation, in my opinion.
