Written in 1998 by Edward and Mike Carwile. You need to purchase the 2009 issue because Edwards and Carwile have adjusted the price list in the back. If you are a seller or buyer, stop thinking about how pretty the book looks. Tear the book apart, separate the pages (photos and text) and place them in manila folders (labeled on front using exact wording). They are guides to help your buy or sell. However, if you take the time to organize the book by tearing it apart as I suggest, according to your buying and selling priorities, you simply pick up a folder. You are not leafing through the entire book looking for one item and all over again for another and trying to hold it open with your elbow while you type on the keyboard and browse.

This is quite a thorough representation of vintage opalescent glassware with great images showcasing each pattern depicted. Great quality for this hardcover edition. Enjoyable and informative excerpts for each pattern shown as well!! Highly recommended for the opalescent glass collector enthusiast.

Good book.

This book was recommended to me for very specific items, but when I received it I was blown away by the many, many beautiful photos. If you collect glass of any era you will find something to interest you. Opalescent glass never looked better, and the photos clearly show patterns.
