Three sentance summary: Theres a family of three one dad, (mom had died a couple of years ago),a 15 year old named Jenny, and a 6 year old named Ally-Both Girls; that are always moving but when the dad saw this house he decided to move in right away! The girls are felling something strange everytime they walk into that house including hearing crying for there new neighbors house so they start to sneek around and they end up finding some really good information. the girls would take the bus every time they wanted to go somewere but one day they went to the library and when they waited for the bus they finally realized that they had missed it so the started walking home one night and when they finally got there they went to the backyard to swing on the swingset. That is when they saw in the moonlight the.....

What i liked most about this book: I liked that every time before the ...... would come out you could always hear the dog.

What i didnt like about this book: I didnt like close to the ending because they didnt really explain everything, but some people like that!

My favorite character and why: The little girl Ally because everyone sees her as the little 6 year old who half the time doesnt know what shes talking about but if people would just listen to her that maybe she wouldnt seem so stupid!!!

the sentence, line, or passage that meant something to me and why: when the music had came to a silence from the painters all you could hear was the swing going back and forward. Then when jenny looked over to the porch she could see a shaddowy figure of a man - if there really was a man with his dog.

what i would say about this book to someone else: Its a great mystery book that left me and all my friends in susspence, and usually i can put a book down easally, but not this one....Ever!

one question i have after reading this book: how were they always there when the ....... came out?

My strogest reason for recommending this book: i have never met a person who doesnt love a well written mystery book, this book will challange any person to think:)

Jenny Joslin, her sister Allie, and their father have moved from place to place ever since their mother died. They now have moved to Crescent Lane, and Jenny instantly feels like she is at home. But, things aren't as they appear; she and her sister see a ghost they call the "moonlight man" in their new backyard. Soon after that, Jenny and Allie encounter a sequence of paranormal events. Their new snobby self-centered neighbor, April, becomes frighten by an unexplained crying in her basement. While Jenny is busy playing `mom' at her house and to her family, she also manages to investigate the strange occurrences at Crescent Lake.

I enjoyed this book greatly. I adored the character of Jenny, she was quite the hero. She never gave up, on her investigation or her family. While the ending left a little more to desire, especially what happens to Jenny and her family. The story of the ghosts was a little weak, but it did not take away the pleasure of the book. Overall it was pretty good and entertaining. I highly recommend this to Wright's fans, and other mystery/scary book fans, young or old.

Jenny Joslin a 15 year old girl, and her 7 year old sister Allie move into a new house with there dad,but they dont expect to live there long. They had moved 7 time since there mom passed away and now they finally found this little cabin in the woods that felt like home.

Jenny and Allie soon find out that there house is somekind of haunted and so is her neighbors house,April. They try to figure out why there houses are haunted and why.Together they investigate stuff about the house and people who used to live there and all that good stuff.

I think that this book is good for ages 7-13. Kids under 7 might not understand it and kids over 13 might think it was a little boring becuase it might not be scary at all.I liked this book becuase it had a little mystery in it and it was a little scary.

This was a great book to read. From hearing from a person who does not love to read, thats a pretty good book. The book is about a 15 year old girl named Jenny Jolsin and her little sister. Why I chose this book is because it had to do with mystery and its a type of a thriller. In one sentence I would have to say the book is about a girl named Jenny is trying to find out what these shadows are that are hounting in her house. They have moved plenty times and they are wanted to spend time in one house for a while, so they have picked this one. My favorite parts are when the shadows come out and haunt the Jolsins. This book is a very good book to read it really doesn't give the ending away in the very begining of the book. this is a good scary type of book so give it a try.

Fifteen year old Jenny Joslin and her six year old sister, Allie, have been on the move quite a bit: seven times in five and a half years. But no place has been quite as charming and yet as curious as their new house on the end of Crescent Lane. After all, in what other neighborhood, would a young man and his dog mysteriously appear and disappear. And in what other neighborhood would you discover that odd things are happening not only at your house but your neighbors' houses as well. Finding clues to these disturbances leads Jenny not only to the discovery of a fifty year old secret, but also what it means to be truly part of a neighborhood. The Moonlight Man is a nice read that might give a goosebump or two...
