Cool Dog, School Dog book. It would certainly be helpful for Cool Dog, School Dog by Deborah Heiligman is another adorable story that pairs dogs with reading! This rhyming story tells of a dog named Tinka who gets so lonely when his owner goes to school, that he sneaks off and scampers to find him. Wreaking havoc in the hallways, the teacher calls the boy's mother in anger, but the kids beg for Tinka to stay.

Do you like dogs? Do you like school?

The author, Deborah Heiligman, has written a fun book. Tinka is the dog in this book, and believe me, Tinka does everything. Tinka is good, Tinka is bad, Tinka is fun, Tinka is sad, Tinka runs, Tinka suns, Tinka is cool, and Tinka goes to school. When you read this book, you will discover exactly what Tinka does, and believe me, Tinka does everything.

Adults will enjoy reading this book to their children. The children will love the rhyming and the fun that Tinka gets into. In fact, Tinka is one of the busiest dogs I have heard about. Tinka also gets into everything. But Tinka is the kind of dog everyone wants. The illustrations by Tim Bowers are vivid, colorful and bright. They depict the adventures of Tinka and his humans. This is a book for everyone.

Sorryyy
As a retired teacher and school librarian, I love this book. It has good and easy rhyming schemes for the young reader, a challenged reader, and anyone. I have used it many times before. One of my grandchildren is 3 years old and is usually not as interested in books as his older brother, but "Cool Dog, School Dog" was a hit for the 3 year old. Thank You.

Picked up this book on sale from Amazon for my 2 year old niece. She loves this book (albeit not as much as her Hello Kitty tea party book) and is beginning to attempt to read some words! It does keep her attention for a little and I'd like to say she picks it up once or twice a day to look through it.

I particularly like the illustrations by Tim Bowers. This is an enjoyable age-appropriate book. Good quality. Highly recommended for children.

I bought this book to share with the pre schoolers in my life after we got a golden retriever puppy. The kids really enjoyed Tinka's story and the colorful pictures that accompany it. Reading the kindle version on my iPad worked out well and it was fantastic I could have a copy across platforms (cell phone, iPad, computer) without lugging a physical book around since "Tinka" has been so popular. We have even read it to the puppy!

The sing song, rhyming phrases and adorable pictures made this one of my daughter's favorites. She is only 14 months old but she laughs out loud at Tinka the dog's antics. We bought this book for our niece as well and she loves it just as much.

I bought this book-- the kindle edition-- for my kindergarden aged grandson. He is learning to read and the short, rhyming sentences are fun for him. It kept his attention all the way to the end. He loved the story and the pictures. His two year old sister sat and listened as we read it. At the end, she said "do school dog again, please!" That's very rare for her .I just wish I'd bought the paper edition rather than have it on my tablet--It looks as though it will be a favorite for a very long time!

Enjoyed this book and it was well-illustrated. The rhyming is lovely and my kiddo liked it, too (especially since he could read a lot of it). He's a five year old though, so he got tired of the book pretty quickly. But I have a feeling this would be one of those read-over-and-over again books for a 3 to 4 year old. Would definitely buy others by this author!
