From the cover and title, I expected some full color pictures of Tanzania with some identifying text. Perhaps I didn't do my part to investigate the inside of the book more before purchasing.

Actually, the book covers alot of the history of the country, politics, culture, geography, and does it all simply and understandably with some black and white photos. I would certainly buy the book again because of its informative content, it just wasn't what I expected to arrive. If you are looking for more of a pictorial, this is not it. If you are looking to learn something, buy it, buy it.

This book is a basic social-studies introduction to Tanzania. I purchased it based on the cover photo, thinking it would be a coffee-table type book. It's not -- it's suitable for upper grade school to middle school students.
