The Hidden and the Manifest: Essays in Theology and Metaphysics
The secularization of Christianity: an analysis and a critique. The Hidden and the Manifest: Essays in Theology and Metaphysics. This book reflects Mascall's belief that discussions of theology must be informed by the great tradition of the past, which he would say is actually the life of the Holy Spirit in His Church, and by an earnest desire for and expectation of Christian unity by God's grace. Mascall seeks to show how the Incarnation is our starting point and foundation of the life and thought of both the individual Christian and the Church.
