My daughters are now 18 and 16. This book has been something I have read or skimmed every 2 years since my first princess was 2 - It is that much of a help. I have also given out countless copies over the years.

It is an Easy, fun, read and worthy of your time. It gives real world tips and helps you formulate a plan. The chapter on tennis ball communication is worth the price of the book.

Don't freak out guys, raising girls is a lot easier than it seems.

Keep the faith, love your little ladies and most of all, let them see you loving their mommy well.

A friend asked me to recommend a good parenting book for expecting fathers. I had read this book right when my first daughter was born, and remember a few things:

1. It was only slightly preachy, and if you are not a religious (specifically Christian) Dad, you MIGHT get turned off by some chapters (my advice...skip those if you don't want a sermon) This is the main reason I knocked off a star.

2. SOME parts made me cringe in terms of being a little old fashioned. Part of that star was due to some of this.

HAVING SAID THAT, I would highly HIGHLY recommend this book to any Dad, now that I have several years of rearing two girls based somewhat on the advice I absorbed from this obviously great Dad.

In fact, I attribute a LOT of my kids often remarked on good behavior and manners (the eye contact part comes to mind all of a sudden....and it's stuff like that that I would have never really thought about to have a SPECIFIC talk with my daughter about) to the author and this book.

Seriously Dads, this is where it's at. Skip the parts you disagree with, but there is some GREAT, old fashioned, but MUCH NEEDED parenting advice found within these pages. I am truly grateful I came across this book in time to use some of the ideas to rear the two lovely, loving and sensible daughters I have today.

Hard to describe what this book taught me, guys...just get it.

So much to this book. I give this book to the father who's been blessed with a girl. Always request for the Mother to read first just to make sure she agrees with the basis of the book. I did and thought it was wonderful advice for both parents but especially to the fathers.

Good way of looking at the daddy-daughter relationship. You’ll be a better dad for reading this.

I raised four daughters based on the principles in this book. Additionally, I buy extra copies and send them to new fathers of girls. It covers diapers to wedding gowns. There is a sequel called, "She Still Calls Me Daddy" that covers the wedding and beyond.

This book was fun to read as a new father because it places emphasis on family time. It allowed me to slow down at work and appreciate the total enjoyment of a family.

I have a son on the way, but before we knew the gender, a mentor recommended this book on raising girls. Just reading about Wolgemuth's experiences with his daughters made me want a little girl of my own. He gives great real world practical advice and has tons of good ideas that can be immediately applied in your life. It is very well written with a personal tone that spoke straight to my heart. I highly recommend it to anyone raising a daughter.
